Our cider and apple juice is made in the village from parish apples. Elderflower cordial is made from elderflowers grown in the local hedgerows. Our beer is brewed in Rock in Cornwall. Unfortunately the Devon climate isn't quite warm enough for us to grow coffee beans so we use fairtrade south american beans for our coffee!
The busy fishing port of Brixham is just down the road and we source our crab and fish there. We also use smoked fish from just down the river in Dartmouth. Meat is predominantly Devonian.
Whenever possible our salad leaves come from just across the Mill Pool.
Cakes are made in a neighbouring village. Ice creams come from the Devon Ice Cream company. And obviously our devon cream teas are local too!
In terms of our lunch menu we have panini, toasties, sandwiches and baps for under £5, crab salads or sandwiches, smoked fish trio salads, ham salads under £10, there will also be specials available.
We also hold regular summertime barbecues and in the winter have evening meals on the Friday and Saturday night. Once again we use excellent local produce. Please click here for our sample menu from our opening weekend.
Lexi and Tim have both completed cookery courses and have created menus for numerous birthday and dinner parties and would be delighted to create one for you.
Please don't hesitate to contact Tim on 07775 890 959 so we can do that!
