Our cider and apple juice is made in Stoke Gabriel from Parish apples, and elderflower cordial is made from elderflowers grown in the local hedgerows. Our beer is brewed about 2 miles away at Bays Brewery, and we also serve the Cornish bitter, Tribute. Our wine list spans vineyards across the River Dart at Sharpham, and from the other side of the world! Unfortunately the Devon climate isn't quite warm enough for us to grow coffee beans so we use the finest Italian Lavazza coffee.
The busy fishing port of Brixham is just down the road where we source our fish and crab. Meat is predominantly Devonian from the luscious green fields of the South Hams. Whenever possible, we pick our salad leaves from just across the Mill Pool! And with Dartmouth just down the river we are lucky to have access to some great ingredients there too.
We source our handmade cakes and biscuits from local suppliers, and use the Devon Ice Cream company for our purely Devon ice creams. Obviously our cream teas are local too.
In terms of our lunch menu, we offer Panini's, toasties, sandwiches (including our specialty, Fresh Brixham Crab Sandwiches), salads, soups and other light bites, often with specials available too.
We also hold regular summertime barbeques, serving only the best quality fresh meat from our local Totnes butchers. Over the rest of the year, we are open regularly on a Friday night for bistro food. See our opening times in the information section for more details of what happens when. Once again, we use excellent, seasonal local produce.
