The following are meant to be as a guide. Times and openings may vary, depending on the weather, and occasionally for private venue hire. You can check the ‘What’s Happening’ section on the homepage for any updates or changes. Please don’t hesitate to call if in any doubt.
We are also always available for parties, functions, corporate dos, weddings etc. Please contact us for details.

· MAR Open weekends only from 13th/14th from c.10.30-16.30
· APR Open daily from 10.30-17.30
· MAY Open weekdays from 10.30-17.30 & weekends from 10.00-18.00
· JUN Open weekdays from 10.30-17.30 & weekends from 10.00-18.00
· JUL Open weekdays & weekends from 10.00-18.00
· AUG Open weekdays & weekends from 10.00-18.00
· SEP Open weekdays from 11.00-17.00 & weekends from 10.30-17.00
· OCT Open weekends only & half term week from 11.00-17.00
· NOV & DEC Closed daytime but available for parties & functions.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Accommodation - we have a self contained annex in Stoke Gabriel available to let either nightly, weekly or longer term. Also can be used on a b&b basis. Please contact us if you would like further details.
Children - are welcome. We have a kids area with books and games.
Crabbing Equipment - available to buy at The River Shack. This is a crabbing hotspot as featured in the Guardian newspaper! 'Crabbing Champion' Tshirts also available to purchase.
Boat Access - Visitors moorings available on the jetty, but please check the tides! Slipway available for launching canoes.
Dietary Requirements - we do our best to cater for those with special dietary requirements. Please let us know in advance if you are visiting and need something special.
Disabled Access - good disabled access to cafe.
Dogs - well behaved ones are welcome!
Duck & Swan Food - available to purchase from the cafe.
Groups - should you be visiting with a group, please notify us in advance so we can make sure we are well prepared.
Internet Access - available from our computer and Wifi available.
Parking - plenty of parking, but charging is enforce from Easter to September (nothing to do with us!!!)
Parties - The River Shack is available for private party hire, weddings, birthdays and other functions. Please contact us to arrange.
Payment type - card (minimum £10 spend), cheque and cash or accepted. Credit card subject to a 2% charge.
Pictures - local photos & pictures available to purchase in the River Shack
Tourist Information - we have a selection of free leaftets about the local area & activities, as well as River Dart guide books for sale.
Weather Station - up to date readings available (please see links below)
Wildlife - there is a Devon Wildlife Trust Identifying board on the side of the cafe. Kingfishers, Seals have been spotted here!
